Why Ratan Tata and Azim Premji has more respect?

Why do more people admire Ratan Tata or Azim Premji, though Mukesh Ambani has more wealth than them?

I will answer from my perspective and solely my perspective

I have not done adequate research into Mr. Ambani's companies or Mr. Tata's companies and Mr. Premjis's companies - though at one point of time or another - i have invested in all their companies (TCS, Wipro, and RIL) and am continuing to do so.

To be absolutely frank - this is just my gut feeling

I have always felt something to be wrong with a man who grows too fast, a man who is too glib, a man who is too opaque, and a man who is constantly seen hobnobbing with ministers all the time (more time than Ratan Tata and Premji combined. In fact I have never seen Premji hobnobbing with any govt officials)

There is a deep worry inside me when I read of Mr. Ambani because it is contrary to the trend.

The whole world is sinking and people are having lesser and lesser disposable income and somehow in a country where 9% invest in the share market - Mr. Ambani shows rapid growth.

Yet - there is no significant development in his industry, he has not developed a breath-taking product, he has not done anything strategic suddenly and all across the globe - blue-chip companies are taking a beating in far stronger economies.

It simply does not make sense.

His Behaviour is also beginning to worry me. He is following the same trend as his brother Anil.

In 2008 - Anil made the same announcements, appeared daily in some news article or another, made many claims at his AGMS, and saw his net worth rise from $ 12 Billion in 2007 to $ 42 Billion by 2010 - all without any significant development.

Today we know it was all a Paper Parade and Anil is in a state of Bankruptcy with all his so-called growth being carefully concocted lies. And Vijay Mallya, And Nirav Modi.

They said the same things - they are saying today - That Anil Ambani was the Worlds Ninth Richest, then Eighth Richest, and Sixth Richest, etc, etc

This was the Actual Truth.

I may be old-fashioned - but I am of the opinion that someone who has a very strong empire has no reason to be in the news on a daily basis making one announcement or another.

Only a person with a shaky empire will try again and again to keep being in the news to give the impression of being super wealthy and prosperous which may end up being an illusion.

I also notice that without any strong conflict of clause interest - Mr. Ambani controls a lot of Media which includes CNBC - Indias top business coverage network. This in itself implies - any article on money control or CNBC is tainted with a potential conflict of interest.

I also notice that he is selling pieces of his own company which is always a worrisome sign especially since he can easily establish control of Indian markets on his own.

He is brought in foreign entities who have no technological advantage to an Indian Market solely because they are paying him big money which means he badly wants money

I am not saying Mr. Ambani is in a precarious position. I have no authority to do so. I am just a mediocre retired banker and a lawyer.

I don't hold an MBA in Finance or a Ph.D. in Finance or have ears in top departments in India. I make this very clear

I just feel - there is something OFF about people like Ambani or Adani because they are doing exactly what Anil Ambani, Mallya, Nirav Modi, and Sandesara were doing a decade ago.

Hobnobbing with Politicians, Currying Political Favors, and constantly coming in the news.

That is what worries me. I am worried that Mr. Ambani is sitting on a potential nuclear explosion waiting to happen. I am worried that Mr. Adani is sitting on something similar.

And I shudder to think of what would happen when that day comes to the already fragile Indian Economy….

I Don't have any such fears with Premji or Ratan Tata
